Agreed, not a "gun" issue! I'm sure that was just a joke, or I'll hope that was a joke.

I had a hard time last year getting time from the local sheriff to allow me to winterize the trailer. I don't think he'd get involved unless a crime was being committed.

One thing you don't know, moving the trailer would most likely ruin it. It's a mid 70's model manufactured home that's been in the same location since the late 80's. I'm 99% sure that moving the trailer would total it, if it could be moved at all without cutting down trees and building a temporary bridge to get across a 3' deep road ditch. If I were a mobile home moving business, I wouldn't touch it unless the owner signed a waiver that says "if it falls apart, I'm not responsible". My dad bought the trailer in like 1999 in it's current location, and has maintained it pretty well over the years. It's not a 4-star hotel, but it's a good fishing cabin.

Is it insured? Ever heard of Jewish lightening?

Strange things happen at 2 in the morning.

Just sayin!!!

If the trailer isn't worth much then get your belongings and call it a day.

Yep, I believe I'd cut my losses and move along quietly. Reason being IF they demand you get the trailer off their property then you're screwed.

Considering the condition of the trailer.....if they want it, let'em have it. Beats having to pay to have it moved.

I believe I know the Trailer. It was the only one with a For Sale sign on it and you are right as far as moving it.

We have talked to a couple of Lawyers in town after we bought our place on Property disputes and neither charged anything first visit for consoltation on what to do.

I'm close by don't know if I could be any help if you want me to relay any messages I could.

I'm warming up to your idea guys! I have a house full of stuff, and a farm house that furnished as well, so I don't have any use for a 3rd set of home furnishings. Place has a full kitchen, new fridge and stove, washer and dryer, really nice kitchen table and chairs, 3 couches, TV, queen bed, 2 really nice bunk beds (full on bottom and twin on top), plus all the stuff you'd have in a place that makes it a home.

If I posted a "big sale" on the Lebanon craigslist, do you think folks would show up and buy the contents? Cheap!

I'm clearly a motivated seller. I tried to post pictures of the chateau, but I don't see how to do that!

In my experience, anytime I post big sale on CL I have had a crowd. When I sold my last house, I took pics of stuff in my basement, posted that with a list of big items. It simply stated- $1000 for everything for first person to show up with a trailer and help.

Within 2 hours, all my crap was gone and I didn't lift a finger. Sold it all in one attempt.
