Sore Thumbs Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Champ. Isn't there small bb's in the newer ones and a single lead ball in the old ones?
Sore Thumbs Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Wonder if those even make a difference?
motoman Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 ........but those old ones that are "silent" don't ever run straight. - I might be showing my wart ignorance here; but I didn't realize they actually made silent warts?......... Is it possible they weren't designed silent; and the balls had rusted to one side?
abkeenan Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 I got 2 still in the package war eagle blades that says hogs win against mizzu. You need my address Denjac? lol. TIGERS!

dtrs5kprs Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 I have never seen one, but I guess it is possible. The lead balls will age like an old worm weight or unpainted lead head. Causes them to not move around, and changes or eliminates the rattle. You can see it if you flip over an old phantom wart. Looks like chalk all over the ball and channel.
Quillback Posted November 30, 2014 Author Posted November 30, 2014 Mine never age too well, I either lose them on a snag (sometimes I can't get them with the plug knocker) or break the bills off grinding them through the rocks.

I'll see if I have some NIB warts that show it and put up a pic. One of the things you learn from hoarding, I mean stockpiling, warts.
