Jerry Rapp Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 does a new color really make that much difference? It can't. I have several old warts, among other baits, spook, pop R, etc that have worked for years and years. Tim and others make very pretty baits, but I would suggest you use your favorite colors and save some $.
Quillback Posted November 3, 2014 Author Posted November 3, 2014 They're Wiggle Warts, not going to break me financially to pick up a few new ones.

A lot of guys don't have the good old colors but have some old warts in ugly colors that can be painted into good colors.
Champ188 Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Jerry, do you pick up used chewing gum off the ground? For gosh sakes, every time something comes along that involves money, you rip into it. Frankly, it's none of your business how the rest of us spend our money and I'm not the only one around here who takes offense to your comments. Tim does a darn fine job of custom painting lures for people who want them, and at a very fair price. He also helps develop stock colors for lure companies to be sold off the shelves. He does not openly advertise nor solicit business from forum members. I, for one, don't appreciate you suggesting that people not use his services. Again, it's not your concern how the rest of us spend our money.
*T* Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 I've come to the realization that I'll never ever use all of my baits in my lifetime. Does that mean I won't buy anymore? I just saw 4 new color Warts that will end up in my boat/tackle collection. And always need a few new jerkbaits every winter. Been looking. Jerry Rapp Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 sorry guys, but after 45 years of chasing every new gadget, lure, color, etc. I have found that keeping things as simple as possible is what works for me. I learned a long time ago to never ask the wife about her shoe and purse collection, so I guess the same applies in this case.
