merc1997 Bo Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 got to get out today and do some fishing. took one of my retired buddies from emerald beach. we had a great day. 30 big whites and 10 lmg keepers to go along with all the big whites. still deep water fishing, and today we were fishing out over 75 feet of water, and the strike zone was from 40 to 55 feet deep. still catching them on the same things. we kept the whites and made some of the emerald beach residents happy with fresh fish to enjoy. now would be a great time to go fishing every decent day. bo 5bites 1

fishingaddiction Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Surprises me that the fish are this deep, with the low sky and no sun we have been having lately. I suppose they are following the forage? Born to Fish. Forced to Work.

merc1997 Bo Posted December 22, 2014 Author Posted December 22, 2014 Not every fish in the lake is that deep. Had 8 keeps today in shallow on the jerkbait you had a very good day. the hard overcast we have had should be putting at least some of them up shallower. bo
Lvn2Fish Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 It was great . I weighed a 14 inch Kentucky today just to see what it was. 2.05. Man they are fat right now! I'm going back down on Tuesday. Maybe I'll probe the depths.
