Thanks for all the great responses, though they are not justified or earned. You see, this post was a test of sorts. The walleye, crappie and white bass fishing was pretty good on Upper Bull Shoals last week and I made a few reports giving as much detailed information as I could. This report however was a fake. Completely made up with a technique that I did not even know was a way to fish for walleye. The pictures were from a few years ago on the James River and from up on Stockon. I wanted to personally see how much a good report on Friday might influence a spot during the holiday weekend. I also wanted to see if the report would draw many people up towards the Pot Hole. My brother fished Upper Bull Shoals on Saturday and Sunday. I fished up there today. Accourding to my brother, Saturday was a little crowded from K Dock to Beaver Creek. Not much above Swan. Sunday was not as crowded and there might have been 10 trucks at K Dock today. Fishing was slow for my brother Saturday and Sunday, but it was a little better for me today. I did fish with flicker shad behind a 1/2 ounce bottom bouncer today and it caught the most fish. Fish were deeper today and I was able to hit bottom in 23 feet of water trolling at 1.7 mph. I caught my only keeper and a short walleye on that rig today. I would like to know if I enfluenced anyone to fish Upper Bull Shoals this weekend or was there a little more traffic out there due to the nice weather? I obviously did not convince too may people to fish up by the Pot Hole.

Any feed back on this would be appreciated.

Feedback: You have a reputation as a pretty darn good fisherman. So you posting up some nice fish wasn't a huge surprise.

Not one to chase other's success as a general rule, like to learn from others face to face.

I fished Taneycomo Saturday because it was a nice day and I wanted a sure thing to be able to grill some fish Sunday.

So no, you did not influence me at all other than to complement you on what looked to be a heck of a nice stringer. Even if the grass is a little too green.

This is my feed back buddy! :have-a-nice-day: A good test and like you I wonder about the results.

Thanks for not letting me wonder as long as some others,

Thanks for the feed back. I did get get called out personally by a few guys on here that new something was up. Im very new to walleye fishing and cracking this nut is tough. I do enjoy sharing what I learn as I go and do feel bad about misleading the masses on here.

Good on you DD!

Whether it mattered much this time or not, be assured that at times it does, sometimes in a big way. Some years ago a couple guys stumbled onto the real deal that I was already on, and they had an unnamed newspaper hack go with them the next time. The night (and week) after the resulting article that tailwater turned into a freakin' zoo.. Where there had been 5-6 boats quietly sneaking around and respecting each other, there were a couple dozen waking around with their spotlights and beer, and that was the end of it for everybody.

The Eagles sang the lesson pretty good in a song about California;

They called it Paradise

I don't know why

Call someplace Paradise

Kiss it goodbye

I can't dance like I used to.

Thanks for the feed back guys. Interesting to learn of the tournament. I'm glad you fished the KDock area two old poops. Those reports were real.

I am sure that some reports at certain times can be a factor on changes of fishing pressure.

I went walleye fishing on a different highland reservoir because of this report, well sort of. This report was an enough of an excuse to get me on the water on a 60 degree day in January.

I didn't catch any, but I talked to a couple guys that were catching them so I don't really know where that leaves us with your experiment.

Pretty funny btw.
