Smalls21 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 We had a big Siamese tom cat that would do the same thing when I was younger. He'd jump up on the bed and plop down on your chest and wake you from a dead sleep until you pet him for a while. mine thinks he has to drink out of the faucet, or out of a cup Seth 1
Seth Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 mine thinks he has to drink out of the faucet, or out of a cup Our orange house cat thinks her goal in life is to find every hair band in the house, pick them up and put them in the animals water dish. She also thinks that instead of drinking straight from the dish, she has to put both front paws in it and then lick the water off of her paws. She's taken a spill in the bath tub while my fiance soaked in the tub on more than one occasion as well. I've never seen a cat that tolerated water as well as her. Champ188 1
Bitethis Posted January 23, 2015 Author Posted January 23, 2015 so just add my 2 cents since I started all this crazy-town-bananapants posting. I was just simply trying to inform those that may be interested that BPS has started their spring fling stuff. The BPS PQ reels are a good deal, if that is a reel in your price range. I have 4 kids, a mortgage, student loans, and other responsibilities. The fact I even get to fish is a luxury. $50 is something I can spend to ADD to my repertoire. I would much rather have a Chronarch, Curado, Winch, Steeze, or something else in the $200-$500 range because I know quality means a lot. If I could afford it, I would pass up on the PQ's and get a Curado. 2nd - I started my baitcaster experience with an Abu Blackmax. For me that wasn't the best reel to start with. I threw a bird nest every time i cast, despite the youtube training, expert advice, so forth and so on. I retired it...talked to a guy at basspro, as he was friendly, and recommended a PQ. Told me about how duel breaks would help me a lot, spent the time to explain setting it up. It was years ago...that spring I never threw one bird nest. I did learn more about baitcasters, how to use them, how to adjust, and I have a deeper appreciation for some of the high end gear. I also appreciate the guy at basspro working with me in person, explaining it, and selling me a solid reel for a novice like myself at the time. Lastly - I am not a guide, I am not pursuing pro angling. I do fish about 60-75 times a year though. For my availability, my use requirements, and my expectations - a PQ is my top choice. When the kids move out, my student loans are paid off, and I am in my 50s (that when the good life starts, so I have been told) I will go trade in every last one of my PQs for Curados. I trade in my browning and bionic blade rods for Mojo Bass. $50 for a PQ if your interested and it fits your needs, lifestyle, and fishing requirements. If not, they are doing a reel trade in and you can get a higher end reel that the rest of us wish we could afford! Champ188 and abkeenan 2
abkeenan Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 From a few years back. Dude...what is that foul beast!? Groundhogzilla.
abkeenan Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 I have. A big one. He decided to dig a home in the poured concrete planters alongside our front step. Tried traps, poison, all the usuals with no luck. Had pretty well given up until I was on the way to the bank one afternoon to pull out some money for a gun show. There he was in the street just down from the house. Some would say a Ford Excursion is too much for hunting groundhogs, but to them I say you always need to bring enough gun. Best part was one of the neighborhood teenagers and her boyfriend were walking up the other side of the street. She had just raised her phone up for a picture of him when I swerved to address his threat to my sanity. Great big "Ohhhh" frozen on her face. I rolled my window down, and shouted with a madman's glee "He has been living in my front steps!" Kids just don't understand the simple joys of life. LOL. You crack me up.

Champ188 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Pretty sure I've read that in the ancient Orient, domestic cats would jump from ships and swim to shore once they got in close enough.
Smalls21 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Those simon cat videos are funny, but you truly only get it if you own a cat or the cat own's you

Terrierman Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 We're cat people too. Agate and Willow, littermates adopted from the shelter a little over a year ago. They're a blast.
