Quillback Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Everything eats a Ned. Yeah, I grilled a few last night. Champ188 1

Ham Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 I like them better raw and cold. Maybe you could give it 10-20 seconds a side on a low heat. I will admit they are awful chewy though. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
Terrierman Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 You did a lot better after you slowed down. That stupid thing is incredible isn't it?
dtrs5kprs Posted January 26, 2015 Author Posted January 26, 2015 You did a lot better after you slowed down. That stupid thing is incredible isn't it? Nailed it. Slowing down is the key. Slow the bait, slow the boat. Don't try to cover water, try to catch every fish by every rock. Fish24/7 1
balsabee Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 I would love to try one of these ZMan Toobz in 3" PB&J. I'm not sure they will have that length or color. Right now Tackle Warehouse only carries 4" in pearl.

LittleRedFisherman Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 You did a lot better after you slowed down. That stupid thing is incredible isn't it? Yes I'm now a believer Rick! I can't wait to try it in some warm wAter. I was telling ham the other day after Christmas i tried them in a neighbors pond, had ice floating in it. Caught 3 largemouth in 10 minutes before I set hook to hard on 4th one and broke off. Notice in the video I had my drag lose enough when I get excited as I tend to do that protects me. Lol. That nano don't stretch! There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
LittleRedFisherman Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 I'm hope to get back that way sometime in the next week, and i'm gonna test a theory just for my own curiosity. Last year I fished this stretch with a friend who is a Grub fanatic. He outcaught me that day, fishing that grub a lot like I did here, he wasn't shaking the rod like that, but drifting it basically. It's hard to believe that you couldn't have similar results with the Grub. I think I know the answer will be no when I try this, but this Ned Rig still baffles me, it's hard to believe even after experiencing hot action like this, in the dead of winter to top it off..lol. I"m gonna rig up two rods one with the ned and one with a grub, and see and video the difference, might be another fun video.. Ham 1 There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!

About the only time it falls off a little is if they get to feeding up instead of down. That forces you to swim it. Honestly, I hope they both work well and you have a great day of catching them.
