BilletHead Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 OOOOhh Ahhhh nice. it is time to be doing things like this, BilletHead "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo   If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh   " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh      "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!" BilletHead   " One thing in life is for sure. If you are careful you can straddle the barbed wire fence but make one mistake and you will be hurting" BilletHead  P.S. "May your fences be short or hope you have long legs" BilletHead
Flysmallie Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 it is time to be doing things like this, I agree but I can't seem to find any time. I can't seem to stay out of a basketball gym or archery range or staying up late to build new arrows for kids that are hard on arrows or drive to Neosho because another forgot her cheer shoes. But I did stop by the local Hobby Lobby & Tackle to pick up some balsa for a project that we talked about. bs1827 1 Â Â
rFisherk Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 It's my opinion that smallmouth are basically bottom huggers, and while you can get some of them to rise, especially during the hot months, I always catch more with something along the bottom. Catching the most, or the biggest, is not always the measure, however. Sometimes seeing a splashy rise is worth three or four hooked deep. Amery and Wade M. 2

ruthead Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Wrench is there a step by step on those? Look really good. never tied anything with foam so need to see some basics. "Pretty soon we may not have any rights left because it might infringe on someone's rights"
fishinwrench Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Rut, I'll see if I can put together a SBS before it is time to start throwing them. To the uninitiated they look like a Blockhead popper knockoff, but what they really are is a fly rod buzzbait.
XP 590 Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 " but what they really are is a fly rod buzzbait" Yeah, with my casting skills, that sucker would be buzzing the back of my head. Great looking fly. I'm just starting to tie for bass, SBS would be appreciated.
