Nice, Mitch.  Happy birthday.

You look younger than your posts:)

Either you're being kind about my looks, or you're saying I post like an old man??

Good for you and happy birthday! Will have to have the Fields clan by for a swim & some BBQ again soon. Haven't cooked much in the past 5 months, but need to get going again. Did some slap together kabobs tonight. Not bad for   15 minutes of work.

I did make these tonight and they are pretty unbelievably great!

Flemings Restaurant Au Graten potatoes...I would recommend cooking the potatoes for about 30 minutes longer than the recipe calls for.

Heavy cream, cheese, potatoes -- what more could you ask for!

Alright, so I made some more tortillas last night and subbed vegetable oil for 1/3 of the liquid. Noticeably better but still not great. That bag of masa is gonna probably outlast me. :D

Try throwing them on the smoker.

One of two ways. Either a hot smoker, grill works too, or cook indoors then transfer to smoker for a couple of hours or so.

Puts a whole new dimension on the dish.

Ness- Why make tortillas?  Take the burden off your shoulders. Others do it better, and cheaper, so you can enjoy life. Let them. Concentrate on looming your own underwear.  It'll give you the authenticity and self satisfaction that will be matchless.

Step 1 - This morning the wife made her slow rise, thin crust pizza dough. She hit it hard with parsley and marjoram.

Step 2 - Just now we set the oven to 475 and patted the dough out.
