That looks outstanding John, how was it?    Now to the BBQ sauce, is it Folly tribe approved?

      BilletHead

Wait...you made a batch of sauce?

BLT and sweet corn with peaches. From a 'huckster' as grandma called them, not from my garden. Supposedly from a local Amish farm, but I have my suspicions. Darn fine summer fare nonetheless.

Brought in my first tomato tonight, a Cherokee Purple, but it's not ready for prime time. Another couple weeks and I'll be swimming in maters.

Been finding some wild mushrooms. Have that post in the mushroom and other wild edibles thread. Did a chicken of the woods enchiladas. Another keeper recipe from BilletHeadVille,

Laid a nice piece of pork loin on the grill, got the fat cap seared nicely, mixed up a batter for the zuchini and green tomaotoes, and even made a pig sauce because I had spare time, sweet spicy baby rays as the base, some Orange juice, a little soy sauce and some coca cola, oodly it tastes like plum sauce.

What is this balsamic strawberry jam you speak of?

Brussels sprouts gotta be done just right or I can't handle them. I like them in the frozen packs with butter sauce, but the couple times I tried to make them myself they didn't work for me. I always think of the Leave it to Beaver Brussels sprouts episode too...

Can't hear cooked spinach and not think of the Three Trails Elementary School cafeteria and how deflated we all were when that ended up on our plate. We had to taste everything. And Mrs. Davis and Mrs. Palmer were there to enforce the rules. There was one dude who loved it, and he would take it off your hands. But supply exceeded demand, and somebody was always left with some spinach. Second grade economics there.

Fishing, now we are gonna pretend OA is about fishing.  I had to do a search for strawberry jam with balsamic and found a couple recipies, but gotta say I am at best unconvinced.  As for fishing I love fishing!
