rps Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 Last night I did a hotdog, potato, sauerkraut casserole. Not worth a picture but tasty. Today we ordered the brunch here and saved the shrimp cocktail and smoked salmon for tonight's dinner.
BilletHead Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 Been a busy day here. After canning the broth made a run to town to get some lumber at Sutherlands for a project. As I was picking out a 2'X12' a worker came over. What I was looking out was pretty poor for a selection. Have any more I asked? Nope that is it we are low for stock. I kept looking. He said notice no prices listed. I had not noticed. Building material wood has gone crazy price wise. We can't keep accurate tags on it. We have to change prices daily. We cannot even get some stuff. Then went to get a couple treated 2'X4's. Noting in the 8',10'or 12' bins. We don't know when we will even get more in? What the heck? So getting back home time to cook again. Started off making a vegetable soup with orzo pasta. The base was the some of the seasoned broth left from making the wild turkey carnitas. This is for later but the taste test was super good! For the main meal it was Oklahoma onion burgers. I think I have shared it before but it is worth repeating this time with better pics, This picture didn't get me any bonus points today These are well over a quarter pound each. I once tried to eat two. One each was enough to eat today! Gavin Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 Those burgers look great. Thick cut pork steaks, corn on the cob hitting the grill in a minute or 2, beans in the oven. Mitch f, BilletHead and Terrierman 3
ness Posted May 17, 2020 Author Posted May 17, 2020 Did baby back ribs today. Flavor of the meaty parts was great but man they were fatty. Didn’t even notice it as I prepped - no real visible fat. I’ve done baby backs many times but guess I’ll pay better attention next time. Seth, Gavin, Mitch f and 2 others 5 John
