Did a cooking demo that included dressing and queso. Of course we had leftovers. I cooked a burger, covered it with dressing and topped it with queso. I do not have a name for it, but with a side salad, it made a good meal.

I bought the (half) pork loin from Walmart.   I did not trim it at all.   The recipe states to wrap it with food safe thread.  I didn't have any, so I used the skewers. I used the recipe from the following link.

I thought it was amazing,  the kids didn't seem to care for it, but they insist it was good.

The Brussels sprouts were tossed in olive oil, course ground salt and pepper.  Roasted for 20 minutes while the pork was resting,  added the parmesean cheese after and roasted for 5 or 10 minutes longer with the pork.

We had a couple hits this week. I made Chicken Tamale Pie (Google it), and my wife  tried her hand at homemade butter. Butter was stinking easy on her Kitchen Aid Blender. So good!

Looks great people!

Fixed a small batch of tabouli today. My wife said I did not fix enough. Old family story.

Tonight I paired it with seasoned saute shrimp.

Good stuff.

Made a couple burgers out of some meat sourced form a new meat market that is now in town (warden's meat) 80/20. Flavor was great but trying to get past the fat content. I know fat has flavor but we are used to a leaner grind. Maybe try the 90/10 next time. This being said it's been literally years since we purchased hamburger meat. Sides of fried hen of the woods and smoked cheese,

You are not starving that is for sure! Good looking eats! I was gonna make some masubes(Hawaiian Spam Sushi) today and discovered that The Japanese like gizzard shad nigiri (fish on top of rice type sushi). There may be an untapped market for sushi grade gizzard shad!

Well I suppose if you are willing to eat spam, you are willing to eat anything.
