The mire poix included sweet bell pepper as well as the french traditional. The little white pellets are pearl cous cous. Good stuff.

As it turned out, I threw a knuckle ball. At the last minute I added miso and turmeric. That explains why the soup is yellow and semi opaque. The wife loved it.

Yes, working gets in the way. Or at least it once did for me.

I'm getting there.  My wife is retiring in March. 

Which will free us up since she has to go into the office and I can work remotely from anywhere.

Looks delicious…miso is an excellent soup addition…I’ll even eat it with seaweed..lol.

I could not identify the cous cous so I opted not to share my ignorance.

We're off in France, our middle son who lives in Germany married last week to a French girl so the wedding is in France.Now we're traveling about. Been to Bordeaux and sampled the wines.
