Did somebody says "peas"?

If there is one single pea in any dish I have to pass on it.

I'm like a 2nd grader when it comes to peas and lima beans.

How could you ruin risotto with a pea?

I'm like that with cucumber and green bell pepper. I got a salad the other day and it was infested with little maggots of cucumber. I about sent it back, but just toughed it out. I love pickles, and can tolerate green pepper if it's thoroughly cooked. Just not raw.

If one does not like bell peppers, how does one make gumbo?

Glad to see I'm not the only one that thinks bell peppers of any color are disgusting!

What Mitch? Surely you jest? Big difference in sweet bells and those nasty original I guess you call them green bells. Got to love the sweet ones. As for peas shucked raw right out of the garden they are the best, cooked whole I can tolerate but creamed? One if the most disgusting thinks created!

Tonight I'm planning on making a shepherds pie out of some smoked turkey.  You can bet it will have plenty of those wonderful peas.  I'm going to copy an idea I saw posted on here about putting ice cream shaped scoops of potatoes on top.  I hope I can get that perfect lightly browned look.

If they are really cooked and soft, I can tolerate them. When I made gumbo the other night I cooked the crap outta them. When I make gumbo/etoufee  the slow way, I use a poblano. Red bell peppers are better, and actually good if they're roasted. Raw green is what I cannot stand.
