BilletHead Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Hey that looks pretty good there Ness BUT I think i may of had a few more morels that you did . Going to call this the hunter gatherer farmer meal. My paleo roots gave me the mallard hunted part, yes the BilletHead's are having duck again cooked over a fire. Um fire good! Then the gathered part was wild fungus of the morel variety. Salad from the garden so farmed. Oh yes some foraged wild asparagus in the greens. So I have covered some traits of mankind in the past. Will add a cold brew in a frosty glass. My taste buds have been tickled and my tummy is so happy right now, BilletHead Chief Grey Bear, ness and Deadstream 3 "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!" BilletHead Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Simple but elegant Mr. RPS, Some of your stuff is light years ahead of this. I like simple like UM Fire good. Right out of the dirt or woods. Shot out of the sky. Kill it and Grill it. Wok and Roll. Hey that squirrel is a young one not too tough. Grocery shopping right here in my backyard or the neighbors . Maybe better release that bass and not eat it or Mitch will have my hide and want his crawdads back! I was hoping you were afraid of your aged steaks. I was going to offer to try them for you, No fancy cooking terms in BilletHeadville's house. Might say hey honey does this smell all right? rps Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Have a great evening! http://www.ozarkrevenge.com/2016/04/sunday-dinner-roast.html
MOPanfisher Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Beef, garlic, salt & pepper, what's not to like. I like my roasts to not be too heavily seasoned and let the beef flavor shine. I am always a sucker for a good roast whether beef or pork or even lamb. My mom used to make roasts in an electric skillet, sometimes it would get a little over done on the bottom and be carmelized along with the taters, carrots and onions. And of course gravy made from the juices left in the skillet, might have been the law in Missouri at the time to make gravy. That will make a kid grow up able to haul hay, weld up a trailer or fight the commies. Chief Grey Bear and tho1mas 2
Deadstream Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Heck, I found a mushroom. 1 Since I am leaving for the left coast in the A.M. for a couple weeks my fridge is bare. When I get back I head north for the summer. So... I stopped by local pizza joint tonight and had them add my prize to the pie. I plucked the slices off the top and they were wonderful. Shame how many kids have never seen a moral. BilletHead 1
