Looks good!

Had a little butcher shop nearby that used to carry trip-tip steaks. Great cut of meat. Can't easily get them now that he's gone.

I don't believe we've ever talked coffee. My perfect cup is fresh ground Guatemalan, done in a French press for 4 minutes, with raw sugar and half-and-half.

The local store had several in cryovac form for some reason. I took nearly a pound of fat and silver skin off the 3 pound cut I bought.

Other than that surprise, Harter House seems to have it regularly.

I rubbed this one generously with a combination of lemon pepper and Penzys Chicago steak seasoning. That combo is a keeper.

Nancy and I buy Douwe Egbert Intense by the case from Enjoy Better Coffee. We had 0ccasion to call them once on a mis-ship. They immediately more than fixed the problem. The only problem was their thick Russian accents.

We use a chemex because I do not enjoy the wife laughing at me when I make messes with a French press.

My favorite coffee is ma de in a percolator pot, with the sound of a creek nearby, Folger or Maxwell Huse will do fine there.  Bu since that only gets to happen very rarely anymore I do like a good kona or kona blend.  Absolutely hate Starbucks, would rather have gas station coffee, some of which ain't bad.

Had to look up chemex. Not familiar with that brand, but know the style. Never had one though

I've got a drip coffee maker I use during the week, but the results from the French press are sooo much better. Makes me think I oughta make time during the week.

The Guatemalan I use is from KC-based Roasterie. Good stuff--a little on the lighter side. It's 'free trade', so I guess someone up the chain is getting treated a little better somehow 😄

I use the Melitta pour over method for coffee now. Used to do a French Press, never could get it exactly how I wanted it. To me the pour over is the best.
