         I don't think this clamp on item takes much room. About as big around as a average mans wrist and not much longer than a roll of paper towels.  The BilletHeads don't have a large house and we use the cast iron too. We contend with this collection of old better than new stuff that I cleaned and retreated.  There are a couple sizes I am missing and wanting also would like a couple sizes of old crusty dutch ovens to clean. Note I said crusty with baked and fried patina to clean up and not rust. If anyone has some they do not use anymore and would like to do some bartering for send me a PM.  I have another skillet to clean up still,

     Sous Vide medium rare hamburgers,

      Went to Springfield this morning to see our great Grandchild that was brought into this world at nine-fifteen last night! We had not planned todays meal but stopped at HyVee  for groceries before the ride home. Before you ask yes we did go to the Pro and now understand why we don't go on weekends. Actually the grocery store was worse.  I asked the Mrs. if she was interested in some hamburgers this afternoon. Yes and a plan was hatched. I hit the meat counter and seen the meat boss coming out and asked hey man may I ask you a question. Yep so I asked. If I was to eat some of your hamburger on the rarer side am I going to die? He chuckled. So what should I buy? Will this in the pre packaged work? He said we have good meat here and you can eat it anyway you like but get it out of the counter. Good stuff right there he said. So I pick some 90/10 mix, a little over a pound and a half. At home the Mrs. splits this up into four burgers as I fire up the sous vide cooker to 130.  Seasoned up with S&P they get bagged up and in they go into the water for an hour. Out they come to get closer to room temp before the grill,

   Grill fired up and on they go for a minute on each side, 

          Built burgers on Hawaiian bun with a slice of Vidalia onion, ketchup and mayo, lettuce and a jalapeno that had been smoked  from the garden.  A few sweet tater fries also,

   I had a problem getting a bite out of the monster sammich  but Mrs. BilletHead could ,

Nope didn't even notice the "great", but then all kids are great.  I havent gotten that old yet!

I spent part of the day making a triple batch of home made bbq sauce.  My kids provide a variery of bottles to put it in.  But had to use a couple ketchup bottles also.  It is a pretty good batch, always similar but never quite the same.  Used Dr. Pepper instead of Coca Cola, and added some extra heat/spice to it.

Congrats Buddy on the "great" grandchild! Hopefully all is well with everyone.
