I went out on a limb and decided to grill some  avocados to make a guacamole dip.  That is a game changer!  The next time you make some guacamole, I urge you to grill them for a few minutes first!

We love avocados and this technique will definitely get tried out at the Folly household. Thanks for a great idea Chief!

Chief, never in my life have I heard of that.  Sounds interesting.  I do love avacado and guacamole, can eat it like soup.  PS good to see your name again!

I'll buzz in and out from time to time

Had 12 family and their friends to the house tonight. We opted for a "Make Your Own Pizza Night."

I mixed some burgers, 1 lb of pork sausage and 1.5 lbs of ground beef, mixed in an envelope of dry onion/mushroom soup mix, some soy sauce and some cavenders, then onto a hot grill.  Wife was frying squash and green tomatoes with a beer batter.  All was going well until the deluge hit, blowing rain clear up under the porch roof and onto the grill, got my cheese slices wet even, 2 of provolone and one of pepper jack.  Ended up with 1.25 inches of rain and some tasty vittles.  Mixed up a sauce for use on both the burgers and fried stuff, 50/50 home made bbq suce and ranch dressing, with a generous shake of slap ya momma.  AND since I dribbled some on my shirt I can definitely say it was dirty T shirt approved.

We made fried green tomatoes to go with a crockpot breakfast casserole for a group of friends at Mutton Creek.  Awesomeness.  Maybe the Bloody Mary pitchers had something to do with the awesomeness???  Flour, egg wash, seasoned panko fried in coconut oil.  The coconut oil added a nice bit of flavor.
