I wish it had avocado! Around here ripe avocados disappear before I get to the market. Eureka Springs sits at the end of the food delivery chain. We rarely see prime produce until the farmers market opens in the Spring. Even that does not help with avocados. Dang, now I am hungry for guacamole.

Buy the hard green ones and remain patient for a week or so and they are honestly good.

There are always three or four hanging in the basket at the kitchen window.  Just looked.  Only two right now.

Homemade granola! It's what's for breakfast :D. It's a good start, but still has some work to be as good as @BilletHead version.

Looking good there John!  You will get there. I have mine for breakfast almost everyday of the month. I think I missed twice in the last 30 days.

So tell us how it's done. I just made my first batch a couple of days ago. Wasn't bad. Wasn't great though either.

It is a recipe from the conversation  book "Cooking Wild in Missouri" . Not sure if it is online. If you cannot find it let me know. It is called pecan - orange granola,

Thanks Marty.

Here's a link to details about the cookbook. The pecan-orange granola is actually listed as one of the sneak peek recipes down at the bottom. I'll be giving that a try.

Good thing about granola is once you’ve got the idea down it’s easy to swap stuff in and out. I like dried cranberries in mine

That recipe sounds pretty good with the orange juice and zest.
