BilletHead Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 On a diet? We had fried wild turkey, fried squash, fresh corn cut off the cob and sliced tomatoes. Other than the fried part good for us. Canola oil does that helped the fried part? Did smoke a couple pounds of chili and jalapeno peppers too for future dishes. MOPanfisher Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 The most adventurous thing I have made lately was some zucchini slices about 1/4 inch thick and a goodly pile of paremeSan cheese, put them on a cookie sheet at 400 or so until they crust up. Boring but tasty. Sad part was my wife had to buy zucchini to make them. Mitch f 1

BilletHead Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Really hard to get too excited about cooking right now. Canned some tomatoes over the weekend and that sure warmed up the house as if it needed that. Did stuff more peppers cooked them outside in the smoker. Even baked potatoes outside in the gas grill. Mitch f Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 The only thing I can get excited about cooking, are steaks on the Weber. Just don't have the time anymore. I've got the refrigerator room in my basement fridge, so I'm going to buy a bone-in rib Roast and start the dry aging process. Can't wait BilletHead 1 "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
