KCRIVERRAT Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Count me in on the Osage Fork! Also... I can attest that Chief got his side of the story conveyed to the Newton County sheriff after the Prater fiasco. Smalliebigs... It was me and that insect that got approached first that day. What the heck happened to him? HUMAN RELATIONS MANAGER @ OZARK FISHING EXPEDITIONS
Members flyguy_stl Posted April 9, 2015 Members Posted April 9, 2015 Rep. Sonya Anderson has introduced an amendment to specifically address the concerns I've seen raised. http://www.house.mo.gov/billsummary.aspx?bill=HB955&year=2015&code=R "2. Nothing in sections 60.700 to 60.710 shall be construed to limit or expand any public easement for navigational or recreational purposes as described in Elder v. Delcour, 269 S.W.2d 17 (Mo. 1954), if such a right exists on a watercourse."
fishinwrench Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 ,.. if such a right exists on a watercourse." They just don't know, do they? Yet they'll cite you for trespass in a coon dog second.

Members chillin the most Posted January 18, 2017 Members Posted January 18, 2017 It appears that Robert Ross is proposing similar legislation currently. My internet search skills are not adequate to find much substance on the contents or motivations of his bill. "Codifies provisions relating to the navigability of Missouri's waters" makes me suspect this is similar to his previous actions. http://www.house.mo.gov/BillContent.aspx?bill=HB556&year=2017&code=R&style=new
Flysmallie Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 What he's trying to do is change the law so that the owner has all the rights right up to the low water mark or basically the edge of the water. Also every stream will be deemed non-navigable unless it has been deemed navigable by a Missouri court. You will be able to float a navigable stream and wade in the stream but the minute you step foot on dry land you will be trespassing.
fishinwrench Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 Kinda funny that it begins like this..... JOURNAL OF THE HOUSE First Regular Session, 99th GENERAL ASSEMBLY __________________________ FIFTH DAY, WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 11, 2017 The House met pursuant to adjournment. Speaker Pro Tem Haahr in the Chair. Prayer by Reverend Monsignor Robert A. Kurwicki, Chaplain. God be merciful unto us and bless us; and cause His face to shine upon us. (Psalm 67:1) O God, who is the bright sun of the universe sending Your light on all Your creation, shine upon our hearts and minds as we pray this moment, driving away the darkness of evil and enabling us to walk without stumbling, to live without complicating our lives or the lives of others, and to serve our citizens without fear and with fidelity. Consecrate with Your presence the way our feet may walk, the way our minds may think, and the way our hearts may feel, that our work may be well done and our lives be filled with the glory of Your spirit. Bless our State with the grace of Your favor, our leaders with the greatness of Your wisdom, and our people with the goodness of Your love. And the House says, “Amen!” bfishn and Flysmallie 2

After all this you will see some slink forward to speak some great truth. First words out of there mouth will be I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REVISE AND EXTEND MY REMARKS. In other words speak out of hs mouth with his forked tounge on the congressional record of what he said.
