Quillback Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 86 bridge, gateway to the lower lake. Taken from the dock. Sandbar, top center of picture, in front of moving boat. If the water comes up a foot by next week, the bar will be barely submerged. Stay in the channel. There is a marker buoy to channel side of the bar.
abkeenan Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 These pics are KILLING ME. Need to get down there!
abkeenan Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 Looks like today could have been a killer Chrome Shad McStick day. Oh the humanity!
moguy1973 Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 All the local water up here in St Louis is still hard -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
willyfish Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 Abkeenan I'm with you, this weather is killing me too. I'm coming down next month for a week but I got the fishin bug bad right now.
5bites Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 No boats or swimmers!? Maybe this is a sign the lake will be low traffic this year.
Members Grumpy53 Posted March 8, 2015 Members Posted March 8, 2015 Be careful when going up ROARING RIVER. On the left in the mouth there's an island that was about a foot or so under, IIRC. Also another island across the river from the private docks. Bo, Bill B. or Champ probably have better info on them last time I was down there was back around the middle of January.

Quillback Posted March 8, 2015 Author Posted March 8, 2015 The cover is all under water I don't know if you know this, but the MDC website has a map showing "fish attractors" as they call them. Quite a few of them in the White river channel. A guy could stay busy all day just fishing those brush piles. Here's the link: http://mdc.mo.gov/fishing/places-fish/fish-attractors-map
Ketchup Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Thanks, Ive used them for other lakes, but didnt even think about it for this area. Got it printed now, and will be taking it down Wed. when we visit. TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.
