5bites Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Ha. Haven't we all made donations to above surface shrubbery and trees? It's the price of learning. I should have looked harder as I see now that spinnerbait Carter used has the typical "R" bend and not the twisted eye like on the Mann's Hank Parker. I have some Booyah's and I like them as well. Took me down memory lane though with my grandpa nonetheless. No doubt! Thank goodness not as much as I used to lol. I believe my buddy Dave has uses the Hank Parker spinnerbaits you're talking about and they only come out in tournaments.

I think it's has a perfect amount of flex in that arm and really provides a lot of thump and feel. I only have 1 left in my plano. Probably won't get thrown.

That is the brand that made the original that Hank Parker used. Obviously he was a Mann's pro, so... Very good dirty water baits. Or at least that blade combo is. I had a blast with colorado/indiana blades during the 2008 flood.
dtrs5kprs Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 As in these, though the wire is now an R-Bend: https://www.lunkerlure.com/store/index.php/spinnerbaits/hawg-caller-proven-winner-spinnerbait-double-blade-3-4-oz.html

Nothing gets past you and if you get a little more familiar with resins and hard plastic molds and you could be the Super Walmart of Fishing Gear. You'd have more money than Johnny Morris in no time and then you could afford the gas to leave a 2 mile radius of Kimberling City. Dave's Duke Diaper Dandy's or Quad D Stores. I can see it now....... Fish24/7 Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 if anyone ever needs custom made spinnerbaits, I do that so please tell your friends

5bites Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 dtrs5kprs my boys ended up with one of the Ned packages you donated. I am very impressed with them little heads and will be buying some for myself. The fishing we did Sunday wasn't very conducive to kids throwing Ned's so they didn't get the workout they soon will. I just wanted to say thank you for the donations. I also wanted to say thank you to Bill Babler for thinking of giving them to the youngest ones in attendance. The whole thing was a neat deal. I have a feeling next year will be even better. I hope I can contribute better myself next year. Daryk Campbell Sr 1

Don't be afraid to let them throw it in mud, wind, etc. It is kind of a do it all little deal. We fished it Monday up here in cold, colored up farm country lakes and caught fish...20mph wind and maybe 1' visibility.
Members sholder02 Posted March 22, 2015 Members Posted March 22, 2015 2.9lbs won? 2 Ned fish would've beat that. Lol Maybe I should start fishing these events. Talk about easy money/prizes. I always weigh my fish no matter if its 1 or 5 fish. I never understood the people that throw their fish back & leave without weighing them. Fishing was that tough? ...says "Peaked in high school Rob Lowe."
