96 CHAMP Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Had to work hard for my 2 keepers today, caught 6 total with 2 nice keepers, lost one other good one and missed a couple others, found what I believe was a good jig bite but found it early in the afternoon, after about 2:30 it faded away for me, for me I found them associated with large Boulder type rock adjacent to bluff near creek channel, no luck on jerk bait or grub, wish I could fish Sunday and go back with same pattern as the weather calls for more clouds I believe, good luck guys Muddy Water 1
Pepe Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Thank you for that report. I hope to get out tomorrow
Champ188 Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Good report, Champ. Donna and I fished the USABassin derby out of Big M and had similar results ... just one keeper and didn't catch it until 2:30. Ned rig was responsible for it. Donna caught a few on a jig but no keeps. I caught quite a few on a blade and jerk bait up shallow but again, no keeps. Gotta get better soon. huntest 1
jay bird Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Hey champ 188 what did it take to win that one???
96 CHAMP Posted March 23, 2015 Author Posted March 23, 2015 I was wanting to reply back this morning, been to busy as you will see, just to say it will be 2-3 weeks before I can get back and post any fishing reports that I may share on this forum to help out others as they do for me, my immediate family and I are in preparation to lay my older sister to rest within days due to the terrible disease of cancer, I have never fished tournaments but have been giving thoughts about it for fund raisers to help in the prevention and help people who have or family members that do, and the more reason for it is that my brother has been diagnosed with the disease as well, not trying to spill my guts out here but just wanted the OA's to know, Thanks for everything guys
mixermarkb Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 I'll be praying for you 96 champ. I know God can give you and yours the same peace and comfort that He has given me in my times of loss. It's never easy to lose a loved one, but watching the final stages of cancer is especially hard. Don't forget to remember the good times when you are going through the bad times. Love is the only thing that helps combat loss.
dtrs5kprs Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Prayers to you and yours. One good thing about lakes, they seem to always wait until you can get back. Haven't had one disappear on me yet (the odd oxbow notwithstanding).
Hunter53 Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Very sorry for your loss 96 Champ!!! I too hate cancer with a passion as I lost both my Mom and Dad to it.
Sac River Jim Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 May I offer my condolences to you and your family and all of you are in my prayers.
