Members basscatfan Posted March 25, 2015 Members Posted March 25, 2015 Yes. I'm kind of nervous about it. They win the J.D.Powers award every year for costumer service. I hope most of the personnel stays the same. Hope I don't have to change my forum name.
motoman Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Wow! That surprised me too. I had a Basscat a while back; awesome old boat. And I could call for parts and they had parts in stock for a 20+ year old boat.......AND folks were nice to talk to there too........unheard of these days. Hope things don't change there.:-(
Bill Babler Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Wow!!! Would never have guessed this one. Must have been a pot of gold. Good Luck to them. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
abkeenan Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 This was posted over on BBC the minute that Wired2Fish posted it on their site and here is a direct response from BCB Owner Rick Pierce (who is a sponsor member on BBC also): "Ladies and Gentlemen, I was required to establish a long term contract and this is not a normal sale. We have one Correct Craft staff member in this week to establish everything to get the business functioning. CEO Bill Yeargin will be leaving today and he will not return for a few weeks and then it is for a board tour. We operate Bass Cat and Yar-Craft every day from this point forwards with myself at the helm. We have no challenges in this decision and it make us secure for decades beyond. We have the same game plan, the same Owners Invitational, the same dealer meeting and we continue every day just as we have. We are very excited about what we have achieved in this and we look forward to being stronger, offering more and doing a better job all the way around in the future. Bass Cat holds 5 (five) JD Power and Associates awards for Customer Service and led the industry for 4 of those years setting JD Powers records, Correct Crafts largest subsidiary, Nautique, finished second to Bass Cat in those years and received 7 (seven) JD Power and Associates awards during every year of their segment. They have a similar understanding and have quality in mind. This is a great opportunity to secure Bass Cat and Yar-Craft with a heritage to grow on. Thank you, Rick Pierce" Ham 1

J-Doc Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Well that's a cool deal that he posted that. Sounds like a win for all to me. Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
J-Doc Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Also sounds like Ike wanted out because he signed with Skeeter yesterday (or so I read on BBC). 5bites Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 I always thought Ike and bass cat was an odd combo anyway
Macsimus Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Also sounds like Ike wanted out because he signed with Skeeter yesterday (or so I read on BBC). I believe that thread was a troll. "There was a time that I didn't fish, but I cannot remember it."
balsabee Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 I believe that thread was a troll. As are most in the BBC lounge!
