Dave the bait savant. You never cease to amaze me sir. You are the Rain Man of the OA Forums...in a good way. How many toothpicks did I just dump on the ground?

They do indeed. The rage craws and stuff are in the clam shell packaging which keeps them uniform and intact. Some of the Zoom stuff you get the pack, open it and you have multiple baits kinked, bent or screwed up. Only problem with the clam shell packaging is storing them is a PITA sorta.

They are a pain to pack as extra for a trip. Just went through that ordeal.

In the boat they hang nicely from something like a Cook's system. Better than regular baits actually, because they don't slide around in the pack.

Wrong. Was expecting you to use either 1,017 (Coach K's total wins), 12 (Final 4 appearances) or 5.....(they currently have 4 NC's). I am assuming they should finally do away with Michigan States Cinderella run and should have showdown with Kentucky. Either way a Blue and White team is going to be cutting down the nets.

It looks like a collision course, but Izzo's teams are always solid. It was a pretty happy evening at our house.

I still have the remainder of some 100 bags of Jawtec's big ringworm. I grew up in Hot Springs with Kilby and he hooked me up with the guy who owned the company, Bruce Benedict. Still have some old Ranger tournament shirts somewhere with Jawtec embroidered on them.

Ham, I am with you on the Zetabait worms. They made the best 8-inch ribbontail ever called a Gillraker. Caught a lot of fish on that old red/black bloodline worm of theirs. They had a very good plum, too.

10-4 on the red shad gillraker worm. I still have several bags of them, they were a great worm in colored water or at night.

I'm assuming the one Jayhawker of the household was already tucked in bed since his team was eliminated EARLY or the timer hadn't gone off yet on the waterboarding session.

And you can never count out Izzo. The man can coach.

Caught lots of em doing the same thing during my few years in Pensacola. Mobile Delta/Tensaw River, plus Perdido, Escambia and Blackwater rivers. Of course, the occasional grinnel (bowfin) always brought a little excitement when he came to visit.

A great worm in grass. Bought a ton of them in about 2003 or 2004, then they were pretty much out of biz.

Grape shad, and "grape balls o'fire" were my favorite colors.

One of the first molds I built was a 2 part job that used the body of a five inch kalins grub with the ding a ling paddle tail. Used to flip and pitch it.

Did anyone here used to swim a Fliptail lizard during spawning season on the flats? Man, bass come unglued over that thing. Still works great. So much easier to get a good hookset now that we have braid.

It also worked very well in the fall, but you needed to fish it with a hybrid style with a mixture of lift/drop and swimming motion.
