Can't let it get to you.
While trolling, I've had guys scream between me and the shore not 50yds away.

And they waved, I didn't wave back...

though rare I put that experience in the what not to do folder.

At least I can teach my kids lake etiquette.

Most everybody gives room and waves. we wave back.

Actually too many nice folks on the water to let it bother you.  :)

Stuff like this should be reported to the tournament officials.   May be they won't care but it's worth a try.

Before my tournaments here on Taney, I tell the guys "tournaments" get a bad name because of bad boating practices.  If I hear too many complaints, I just won't have any more tournaments.  The name of my business gets mentioned in these complaints and it's not worth it to me to get lumped in with bad behavior at these tournaments.

When writing about these experiences, you should name the tournament - and the organizers and sponsors.  If it gets back to the sponsors, they might think twice about sponsoring tournaments.

Your experience has nothing to do with Bull Shoals but you just happen to run into a couple of inconsiderate fellows. I was fishing Norfork last week and we were on a fantastic top water bite. Jumping shad with various bass species lunging out of the water. We were just a little over a cast away from the shore and catching fish with nearly every cast. A large white boat similiar to the guide boats from a couple hundred yards away sees the action and begins to come down the bank. They do not stop or go around but simply continue to fish through our top water bite. Fate was a least a little bit funny because they were too silly to catch any of the bass that were surfacing all around their boat. We simply trolled over to the other shore and waited for them to pass. After they left the top water turned on again and we again began catching them like tunas. To top off the experience they started their outboard motor and powered once again through our top water bite. They waved as they passed.

We looked at each other and had to laugh. I actually believe they were too stupid to understand. We just made up our mind to not let it get under our skin.

Very nice point.  Just because we know, does not mean everyone knows.  I saw bass boats today on Table Rock run thru huge schools of surfacing fish, headed to who knows where.  Just because someone is driving a new shiny go fast rig with power poles does not mean they know one squat about fish, fishing or proper boat handling or operation

Isn't that the truth.
