Our old family spot is the Conrad cabin down a road near Devils Well. Don't want it back. Can see it from the river. Break ins and looky loos all the time.

Never see city folks stick down there. Buddy Dave built next to Gene and only lasted a couple years. Bored out of his mind,a chore to find good stuff, and no available hotties.

Smalliebigs -- I think I know enough about you from reading your posts here on OAF to jump in on this with you. Wire me your $250,000 and I'll get the LLC set up and close on the property. If you don't hear anything from me by Saturday, assume it all went as planned. I'll try to get a key under the doormat by then, but if you beat me down there, just fish it and get into the cabin any way you can.

I'm assuming it's okay with you that I make keys for all my cousins -- they promised they'd clear it with you and me before they go down. They're legit.

Oh -- I've got to have June 6 weekend just for me -- my niece's best friend has a granddaughter who is about to pop. She wants to get married down there. If she can birth in the US she's entitled to a full ride. I can make it up to you by letting you have a weekend of your choice next January.

I'm excited about all this! Talk to you soon, pardner!

Lol@Ness. Could I hassle you for a day or few. My cousins and I need, well could you at least stock the fridge?

Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. (me)

I am the master of my unspoken words, and the slave to those that should have remained unsaid. (unknown)

Hey, I don't make a move without my new partner Smalliebigs. This is a serious business proposition!

By the way OAFers -- if you click 'like' on a post, and change your mind an unlke it, the 'like' still registers. Not naming names, but you know who you are Gavin.

The old Ozark mtn campground/ battlefield recently sold for $220,000 161acres. The house needed total rehab.

That is a nice piece of land. It has some real commercial value, if that might be the plan for the new owner. And given the acreage, I'd say the price was rather sweet - even if the house is a tear-down. I was rather disappointed when it sold because I had a friend who was putting something together toward purchasing it.

And a piece of history.

I had Mr. Nichols do some dozer work for me ~7 years ago and he told me all sorts of stories - one about a cave that supposedly has some civil war gun barrels in it. Pretty sure I found where the cave is, but the entrance has caved in.
