fishingaddiction Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Nice photos trying to get down next week and use the ned with those great heads. Have question what lb and type of line did you use? Not trying to answer for Dave, but from previous threads he uses 6# seaguar invizx fluoro to work the Ned. dpenny 1 Born to Fish. Forced to Work.
dtrs5kprs Posted April 28, 2015 Author Posted April 28, 2015 Thanks, Dave. Will be up Thurs-Saturday. Hope to see you before you head back home to a storm of Ned head orders. Meanwhile, keep jerkin' on em. Heading for the other KC in the morning. Give Donna my best. Had a fun last day. Last fish of the trip was a 16 & 1/2" brownie. What a lake... Macsimus and Donna G 2

This is the absolute optimum setup. Fished mono about 50/50 today. Does not fish nearly as well in any wind, breaks when you pull jigs out of snags that would surrender to Invizx. Did not have any trouble with it breaking on fish though.
dtrs5kprs Posted April 28, 2015 Author Posted April 28, 2015 Great report Dave as always. It was great running into you at Rich's. Thanks again for everything. Have a safe trip home. Be talkin' at ya soon. Always good to bump into you Timmy. Give the little guy a workout if you get up north.
dtrs5kprs Posted April 28, 2015 Author Posted April 28, 2015 Nope, no more spawners. No more waves. It's over. Done deal. Nothing to see up shallow. Move along, please. Had a guide tell me that at BPS after a seminar. As cold as it is, these fish will be coming in for a good long while.
Members Nedrig fan Posted April 29, 2015 Members Posted April 29, 2015 Had the good fortune to be in the back of Daves boat for this weekend. I hope to continue to interup his yearly fishing trips to the rock in the spring as long as he is willing to have me along. As always dave does his best to put people on fish and to help them out whenever he can.I cant express how much I admire this young man, he is wise beyond his years. Again many thanks Dave JRD 1

Not sure about it being the "absolute optimum"; I tend to lean toward Tatsu for my fluoro line. Stuff is expensive though!! Ham 1
fishingaddiction Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Dave, Enjoyed all of your reports these past few weeks. The timing of your trip was about right, other than the pesky rainy cool weather. Glad you caught plenty of fish and that last brownie you mentioned above was icing on the cake! Have a safe trip home. Catch you next time you come to the Rock. Born to Fish. Forced to Work.

Tatsu is second mortgage expensive. Went through about 1800 yds of fluoro since 4/12. That would hurt with Tatsu. You two enjoy the rest of your trip. Ham and Hunter53 2
