Nobody heard of him until he started promoting himself.

I have read his articles in In-Fisherman for 15 years, so his name has been in the public eye for a long time. As has been stated, he never, in his writing, refers to it as the Ned Rig.

I feel like at some point I should look up what the heck a "Ned" rig is. But nah. I think I'd rather keep imagining that it's something the Simpson's character invented.

My life goal is to catch a bunch of fish while never knowing what the heck is going on in "the world of fishing."

For someone that has been reading a science mag for the last 15 years I would think one would have improved their fishing prowess. I would also think one would not ask such elementary questions.

Quite a difference I guess in learning from experience vs the Internet.
