jtram Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Fished around Big M from 1-6 yesterday, good action to start and finish with not much going in the middle. Started out on windblown banks and had 2 keeps in first 5 casts, one being a 17.75 sm. Picked up a few more over next 30 minutes before tunning down to a pocket 5hat had been holding some good fish. Got zeroed on next 2 spots before catching a couple 14 inch spots off a point. Ran around a big cove flipping brush for next hour or so with a single fish, 17.5 lm, to show. Threw the ned at some docks for a while and caught 2 more keeps, 1 just over 17 and one at 16, with a handful of smaller fish thrown in for fun. Ran back to where I started to try to hit 20 and I did. 20 total fish with 6 keepers, and most of my better fish came off of wood. Ned and shakey head caught all of them, couldn't get but on the grub or spook. All in all a very good day for me.
m&m Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Looks like a nice ripple and great color on the water. Good pics. Thanks for the update. Mike
Ham Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Great trip. I didn't know anyone except Quillback was allowed to fish there. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
Quillback Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Great trip. I didn't know anyone except Quillback was allowed to fish there. No matter how many KEEP OUT signs I put up, people still fish there. And then they have the gall to catch more and bigger fish than I do. jtram 1
jtram Posted May 21, 2015 Author Posted May 21, 2015 That must be why there was only one other truck there...
Champ188 Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 If the other one was QB's Ford, that's using the term "truck" rather loosely.
dtrs5kprs Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Are we looking at two years in a row without a consistent grub bite? And if so, why? Not that you couldn't catch some here and there in that span, just seems like all the fish have been on the bottom eating craws, even when you would have expected them to be spread out eating shad.
