jdmidwest Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Sunday TV is usually pretty lame, so tonight I decided to watch a little T Rex Autopsy on Nat Geo. Part of Dino Weekend, this is the grand finale. Smelling BS when they delivered it to the top secret facility under heavy armed guard. Assembled a team that actually scrubbed up to go in. Then they attack the fake mess of a fake dinosaur. How many people will start thinking that the government has actually found an intact dinosaur that looks like it died yesterday? I know that alot of what is being filmed was actually gleaned from a fossilized find, hard rock version. But what they are depicting makes it look like its a fresh, still warm corpse. MOPanfisher Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Was it any better than the Mermaid show that they still show occasionally.
Mitch f Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 My wife and I got rid of Cable TV right after the Mayweather Paquaio fight pay per view debacle. I don't miss any of the scripted reality shows, or cable TV for that matter at all. We simply use an Amazon Fire TV, which has pretty much anything we want for like $14 per month, and high speed internet. I really don't miss the movie channels (which I never really watched anyway), or cable news. Now, if I could get the Facebook monkey off my back. Another colossal waste of time! jdmidwest Posted June 8, 2015 Author Posted June 8, 2015 Facebook is the devil I have never met, don't care, don't need. I wish I could have the luxury of high speed internet, mine is a 4G Lte hotspot with a 5 Gb limit. You don't stream anything on it. I sometime bust the data limit posting a few pics on here or doing the monthly MS updates. Dish TV is a luxury, we have a simple package with no movie channels. But most of the crap requires a foreign language to understand, a credit card to buy the crap they are selling, or an interest in reality tv. I do like the military and American History channels. Comedy Central makes for some fun. FX has some good shows. But this show really takes the cake. I would have much rather seen the actual science behind this based on the fossilized finds. It would have been more realistic to me knowing how it really works. Walking with Dinosaurs was pretty good. Feathers and Fins Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Heh Game of Thrones was predictable tonight. But shark week is coming. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
jdmidwest Posted June 8, 2015 Author Posted June 8, 2015 Well, at least at the end, they stated it was all based on fossil finds, and a creation of latex and stage props. Someone only watching the first half hour would not have known any of that. 2 hours of fluff. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Ham Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Heh Game of Thrones was predictable tonight. But shark week is coming. Hater. I thought GOT has been Great the last two weeks. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
Flysmallie Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 The commercials leading up to the show had mentioned that it was fake but they are always pulling this kind of stuff. Even shark week is turning into a joke. You don't know whether to believe any of it or not.
Feathers and Fins Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Hater. I thought GOT has been Great the last two weeks. I'm a book and companion books reader, and seeing what D&D have been doing It was predictable. Problem with a TV show is it starts getting very predictable because they cut out so much storyline to make it fit on the show, Purely from the book standpoint there is no way to predict what is about to happen just theories. I love a good mystery and the books are that. I've been a good boy and not fired off spoilers and will hold off till the end of this season but then im letting go with a bunch of my theories on what will happen. Last two shows were ok but the Camera on the Hardhome battle was way to shaky and fast it was like they were trying to cram a lot in to the battle insteasd of slowing it down and steady cam to give a good battle. Last night was no different its like they want the big expensive scene and CGI but then they blow it on lousy camera work. Arya's story I know everyone is bitching about but its actually done closest to the books of them all and very good, but again im a book reader and understand her story and its backstory. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Seth Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Heh Game of Thrones was predictable tonight. But shark week is coming. I wonder what kind of mockumentaries they will have this year? Last year they had the one about megalodon. It's funny that they try to put it off as real. I'm sure there are plenty of people that buy in to it too. I love the actual documentary stuff they do during Shark Week. My favorite thing is when they get the great whites to attack the seal decoy being trolled behind a boat. Ham 1
