Two from the Twins. The Royals should be thanking the Cardinals. :)

Lunhow is also accused of taking information from the Cardinals when he left. This seem more like a pissing match between two parties that clearly don't like other. In the end I bet both parties are guilty of something. They will probably both just want it to go away.

Yes lets just say corporate espionage is just a pissing match.. seriously?

Seriously hoping that the Cardinals don't wind up in the mud over this. Class organization and if there is anything to it let heads roll and put it in the history books sooner rather than later.

Corporate Espionage? From the worst team in baseball the last 5 years? Riiight. Now if it goes up high in the cards organization that is one thing, but corporate espionage is a sensationalist term at best. It it is, as stated by the FBI believed to be about revenge. Most likely an attempt to piss of lunhow from a former employee who lunhow probably treated like crap. I doubt this goes much beyond that and i doubt the perpitrator even realized this a felony. So yeah it is a glorified pissing match.

If proven this was a systematic attempt that is a different story, but I doubt that Cards can't be that stupid.

Yep, and the Royals took two from the Brewers.

I would have to think that this was the work of a lower level employee or two. Can't see someone like Mozeliak being involved.

Yep, that is what I think. Hard to imagine Mozeliak or Dewitt being involved. If they are though this is a whole different ballgame.

Corporate (industrial) espionage:

1. (Commerce) attempting to obtain trade secrets by dishonest means, as by telephone- or computer-tapping, infiltration of a competitor's workforce, etc

This is literally exactly what they did. They hacked the computer program for the Astros that literally has all of their scouting info, injury reports, and probably anything else the team was using.

Of course there is going to be a low level employee who takes the fall, and they will say it didn't reach the top but how much of what they did for their job was possibly predicated by what they were obtaining from the data they were viewing.

There was a document posted last June, so they have obviously been doing this for a while.

IMO spy gate, or deflating footballs isn't even in the same realm as this. This is worse for the integrity of baseball than ANYTHING that has happened in recent memory.
