dtrs5kprs Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 I sem to remember Dave you saying tou were not supporting the neg rig for finacial reasons. Is that correct. Plug, I never did, and really don't now. I do make heads for it because folks kept asking me to make them, and giving them away was costing me hundreds of dollars. I have no ties to zman or strike king. Zman used some of my videos and I never saw as much as a sticker from them, or knew they were doing it. They just happen to make the absolute best plastics for the little rig, and I have no problems saying that. Any info I've posted about the little rig is because I think it is truly a wonderful way for recreational fishermen to fish, and a potentially game changing tool for tmt guys who figure out how to work it in. I was teaching it to folks for years before I ever made a cent from it because it levels the playing field for a lot of people. If you can see the pic of the little girl on the TR forum who caught her first good fish on it using a gosh darn Barbie pole and still be cynical, then so be it. By the way, she was using our heads, that I sent to a friend at no charge so his girls could have fun painting them. Go sell financial conspiracies elsewhere, I'm sick of it. dtrs5kprs Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 And tmt guys...see the thread at TR and Stockton about Dalton Combs and the MO high school championship. They caught their big fish on another bait, but the little guy kept them close and kept them confident.
Quillback Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 I keep saying I want to be part of this vast secret Ned financial conspiracy, but no one has yet sent me a check.
Terrierman Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 I know Dave well enough to be certain that selling a few hundred dollars worth of heads for Ned rig is not keeping his family or his boat afloat.
Seth Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 You bite your tongue, I had some banner days with the banjo minnow on LOZ as a kid! We caught a lot of fish on the Banjo minnow as well. I'm sure a fluke or other soft plastic jerkbait would have produced just as well on those days. Now the helicopter lure was a different story. I got one of the helicopter lure kits as an xmas present from a family member and tried it, but could never hook a fish on it. Got a few blow ups in some farm ponds, but never actually hooked and landed a fish that I could remember.
