MOPanfisher Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 Any openings in the moss. If so about anything that lands in an opening is likely to get busted.
fishinwrench Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 Take a rake and a rope out there and make yourself some clear spots. Give it a few days and then go have fun! Gavin 1
trythisonemv Posted June 26, 2015 Author Posted June 26, 2015 Tried hitting open spots but with tree location it's been tricky. I tried evening last time. I may try this morning if the rain lightens up
MOPanfisher Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 If casting is tough, try a stout spinning rod with a weightless plastic worm, just the work and hook with point well buried in the body of the worm. swim/twitch it across the holes. You will want the stout rod/reel as they will dive deep in to the moss and you will have another 20# of vegetation to pull out as well. Used to have a lot of fun with ponds like that.
Jason R. Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 Tried a scum frog? Always fun on a mossy pond. http://flyinthesouth.com/
