Shared the day with fellow forum member ranger185 on Monday and had a great outing in every respect.

Launched at Mill Creek at 6 a.m. and fished down to the island in front of Old 86,.

We ended up with 30 in 7 hours. Best 5 around 13-14 pounds. Fish were anywhere from 2 feet to 25 feet deep. Redfin, spinnerbait, jig and the varmint all played a role.

The photo below illustrates how to ensure long-term enjoyment of a keeper spot as opposed to the temporary gratification of a fish taco.

Thanks, nice report. I like to hear that the area you noted is producing. I am most comfortable fishing that area. Sounds like a great way to spend a few hours in the morning.
