abkeenan Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 http://fox2now.com/2015/07/02/lake-of-the-ozarks-may-be-a-no-wake-zone-this-weekend/ No wake zone issued lake wide on LOZ this weekend??? Good luck with that! Potentially could lift it on Saturday if weather cooperates....which it is looking like it won't. Going to be a nightmare for dock/property owners, water patrol and the hooligans that spend their annual paycheck on gas for their 35 foot Fountains, Bajas and Scarabs that they sold a kidney for. On the flip side the marine mechanics will probably be able to retire at the end of the year on the business they will get on lower unit repairs and likewise for the hull/fiberglass guys.
Fish24/7 Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 geez, what a mess they have up there! no wakes, doubt it gonna p off the wakeboarders for sure
Sore Thumbs Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Lake Patrol is gonna be busy telling everyone all day to slow down.
abkeenan Posted July 3, 2015 Author Posted July 3, 2015 Lake Patrol is gonna be busy telling everyone all day to slow down. Yep. Can you even imagine? Wouldn't want that job. Or being a staff member in the local ER's that are going to have the non-compliant heck with it 4th of July wake boarders, skiers and tubers impaled by all sorts of floating debris. Gonna be a lot of drunk angry men and women at the lakeside bars taking out their frustration with what mother nature has done this year.
Ham Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Lol. That's a hoot. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
mixermarkb Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 I think it's hilariously funny that a 5' rise gets that kind of panic when Bull is 30' high and headed up. Ham 1
fishinwrench Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 The "order" is nothing more than a request. It can't be enforced....but they hope most don't realize that. Lame attempt at media based control. It's not working.
Sore Thumbs Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Bull Shoals doesn't have very many docks like LOZ. Property damage would be astronomical if it got too flooded up there

It's not working. What are you talking about? Last time Gov. Nixon issued a request it all went so well for Missouri and it's citizens. Party cove could turn into "Riot Cove" or "Protest Party Cove". Hard to burn water down though....although with LOZ current water toxicity it could be possible.
