Needs a jackplate and a 20hp tiller motor with a jet propulsion. Lol!!!

Looks like it would be a hoot to drive.

I think I saw a duck hunter with one of those up by Beaver Crk Marina last winter jan 2015. Me and a buddy put had put in to fish upper bull and we saw this guy go by in a contraption just like that. We did a double take . So we wasn't seeing things after all .

Whats the cost of that little TOY$$$

A few years back I watched one of these boats fart its way up Big Piney River, looked like the dude was riding an ugly shoe up the river. If there was ever a water craft completely lacking in grace and beauty it’s a Mokai.

I've looked at them in the past. Neat idea.

Were you able to drive one?

I replaced a throttle cable and test ran it, but I didn't leave the trailer. July 5th on LO....I'm pretty sure it would have gotten swamped. Maybe not but I didn't wanna buy it so I didn't try. This one had dual engines and jets, and was almost as wide as it was long. Like a jet powered saucer.

$5400 plus shipping. Pay to RESERVE one but doesn't say when it will ship (that I saw).

5400 dollars sure seems a little steep for me considering you can buy a good fishing kayak for around $500 that only weighs about 50 pounds instead of 200 pounds of the Mokai. That's over 5000 dollars after tax, plus shipping I'm sure for a jet motor.

Things to consider with the Mokai:

1. It's noisy.

2. It's heavy. You can supposedly remove the motor and make it a little more portable, but then you gotta hook the motor back up. So you aren't going to be doing any small streams with obstacles very easily.

3. A real biggy...sure it runs in shallow water and you can get up a lot of riffles with it. But what about actually fishing from one? When you're drifting downt the river fishing, or trying to run a riffle with a paddle because you don't want to have to start up the motor, it's pretty much of a barge to handle and it probably drafts deeper than a regular kayak.

In my opinion...you're better off just getting a jet outboard, reasonably priced fairly light boat, 25 or 40 hp motor, good trolling motor.
