Table Rock's level jumped .26 inches between 9 and 10 am this morning.

We've got lots of local flooding here in Branson. Water is over all low lying roads. Fall Creek is gushing over 165.

Media is reporting an evacuation of Roaring River Park and a four foot "wave" of water moving thru it. Kinda' doubt that came in the form of an actual "wave" but the water level did rise. Shell Knob reporting 5" this morning and we have 2.20" at Baxter....so far at 11:47 with more coming indicated on Radar.

yep, it can be a 4 ft. wave of water. you evidently have not seen the wall of water that can come down dry hollow. i have seen water to the bottom on the dry hollow bridge several times since 1963 when we moved to cassville.

Roaring River and Cassville are bad lots of damage and the water is higher than I have ever seen. If you look at the usgs graph you can tell it may not have been a literal wall but that little river went up 7-8 feet in absolutely no time at all. Flat creek through Cassville did the same thing. I drove across at 7am and it looked higher than normal but nothing bad by 10 main street was covered in water from it topping the banks.

I was camping at Roaring River State Park in September of 08, when hurricane Ike came through. The lower campground was evacuated, they told us to leave. Being from St Louis, and my 30th birthday, I didn't want to go home. Had no idea how much rain was coming, went to the higher campground. I should have went home. The lower campground lantern holders were under water, could not see the tops. Bad deal.

Be safe, listen to those who tell you to leave. Don't drive through water, it can be deadly. We had a couple people die south of St Louis last week due to water quickly rising.
