I am planning to take son '3years old ' floating n fishing from dam down . has anybody floated and or fished this stretch lately . will be using ultra-light possibly fly fishing . any info would be great .

Not sure about any particular stretch but the water is high, current strong, lots of new trees down and blind corners.

There is a spot over at lead mine where you can drop your stuff, drive to the take out and literally walk back to the put in. Nice little float. Though honestly don't know how to do it with a 3yo, I would say a friend with a kayak would be handy if only for the short shuttle or if you have a dead battery oe flat tire etc. Been there done that, it sucks.

Never go to Walmart.

Tilapia tastes way better.

Never ate them but I'm sure Redhorse out of the water at Lead Mine is much better than any of them.
