Members Hookedonsmallies
Going on a family float. And it's a good possibility that a canoe will tip somewhere along the way. I've go my tackle narrowed down. 1/8-1/2oz jigs ,flukes, spinner/buzz baits , maybe a few cranks. But can't narrow down the rods and reels want to keep it down to 2. What would your setups be? Norm M
I wade, a 7 ft medium spin rod/reel is all I need , should work fine for what you plan to take. what a long strange trip it's been , put a dip in your hip, a glide in your stride and come on to the mother ship , the learning never ends
Mitch f
If you use a spinning rod I would throw a medium or med light 6 foot, and for bait casters, a medium to med heavy 6'6" "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor

Members Hookedonsmallies
I have a 6'6 m action fast tip . With #6 floro for finesse stuff But something good for cranks, top water, spinnerbait I want at least 2 rods no more than 3 got to keep a reaction bait tied and then a finesse bait to clean up
MOPanfisher
I usually have two rods one with either a rebel craw crank bait or a rapala original in hot steel color. Second rod usually has a soft plastic of some sort on it exactly what depends on my mood and where I am. I am not much of a top water guy except for an occasionalall black jitterbug after dark. jbooth24

Members Hookedonsmallies
I agree I am probably over thinking , normally by this time of the year I would have been out there 10-20 times , but weather has certainly not allowed that. I will be fishing with the future father in law, his twin brother, his wife, his son, and the fiancé . 4 others will just be floating. So needless to say they will be getting hit hard , and things will get a little competitive . So I'm trying to be as prepared as possible and gain a slight advantage . Thanks for all the input though
