is there a reason for the floaters or is this normal for this time of year?

Fish saw on social media that mjk96 was coming down and they had heart attacks. Happens once a year ever since 1977.

Bill I did notice some large shad as well

Saw the ones at big Saturday one crappie rest were big gizzards.

went up little indian sunday pm saw maybe 25 to 30 bass (not shad) and ten or so large crappie floating about halph way into creek

I saw 50 plus bass in Baxter area dead floaters. Never saw anything like it before. Every cove had dead fish

Are you guys absolutely sure these are bass? I'm willing to drive up from Bella Vista later this week (maybe tomorrow) and collect some to turn over to MDC for necropsy if indeed we have a problem with bass dying.

Please post a pic of the dead bass. Guides in the Baxter area today said the lake was full of dead Gizzard Shad up to 2 pounds. None saw the Bass
