Quillback Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 I had that look yesterday ^^^, and then a different look along with some strong language when I swung and missed.
Sore Thumbs Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 I use 12-15lb Invizx. Falcon Cara jig rod. Flourocarbon or Braid is a must due to the sensitivity. It's amazing the difference between those and mono.
Old plug Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 The thing I do not like about braid is when fishing anything that the line gets drug over is that if it weakens you cannot tell it. With mono you run your fingers down the line and you can feel any nicks and abrasions they might have. I use 10lb braid to crappie though. Never use a leader. have never noticed and difference in the catch rate either.

I'm guessing it wouldn't fair well at all since braid isn't known to be good for abrasion resistance.
Longball22 Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 I love PowerPro, but I've been trying to force myself into using 12 and 15lb Maxima recently, and it continues to grow on me.

Old plug Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 I do not agree with you on this champ. The fuzzier would have to pretty pronounced to see them. Are the line would be dry. Wet you cannot see them. if I could see anything it would be way past the time I would have broke off and retried mono. I will stick to my fingers.
