moguy1973 Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 My wife just caught this at my in-laws house they just bought in Columbia. 3 acre lake. Previous owners said there wasn't any bass in the lake, only catfish and bluegill were supposedly stocked. 6lbs 10oz. cnr Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Nice fish. It sure has been eating well. It seems like a lot of farm ponds have long skinny fish. Your in-laws pond must be well balanced.
moguy1973 Posted September 8, 2015 Author Posted September 8, 2015 There must me a thousand small frogs in their pond. It has a healthy growth of what I think is sago pondweed throughout it and you can't count how many frogs are sitting on top of it at any given time. It also has a large number of fingerling bluegill and green sunfish in it. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
dtrs5kprs Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 I have never said it. Just have to put it around big fish and slow down. Nice fish, sure it was an awesome day for her.
