Great report. Makes my wonder why I always drive two and a half hours to fish.

His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974

If anyone reading this thinks they are going to randomly walk along and catch these fish, good luck.  We ran 6 miles of water without a bite. And we for sure know where to go    These fish , walleye and hybrids, are like the mystery from the deep.  They are definitely getting hammered by fishing pressure and they have no problem swimming off and never coming back.  The good news-- I'm catching good numbers of both fish from the Mississippi to meramec caverns    Smallie bigs knows what he's doing and makes it sound fairly easy.  The dude has more lures in his Arsenal than anyone I've ever fished with and we get skunked regularly    Well sometimes.  I honestly think Smallie fishing is a walk in the park compared to it. Good luck.  Talk to y'all in January when bow season is over.

darn those are some real sweet fish. I spent some time from 4-6:45 this afternoon fishing the meramec at Unger again and struck out. Then I see you guys with those monsters. It's a humbling feeling. Haha

Wrench,  we are catching hybrids that are far too small to have made the trip from any reservoir   There is true stripers being caught so........ Whites-stripers meet on same shoal spawning with the cross breed happening naturally    This is my theory only

Niiiice !      Where do you reckon those hybrids are coming from ?

I ask that question  out loud all the time Wrench.....it kinda Flies in the face of what the MDC says about those wonderful  fish. I know this much there is a shiot load of Hybrids  that don't  reproduce allegedly??? One thing for sure they are a flat out fun fish
