Bass Pro (dare I mention their name here) during their Spring Classic Sale ALWAYS has wiggle warts on sale for like $3 in one of their big bins located in the middle of the isles. It's a good time to stock up if you need some. That sale is usually early March.

I was in BPS yesterday in Springfield and just looked around and i bought one of there XPS lazer eye crankbaits for 4 bucks, it's some bigger than the WW and it looks to be about a about a 15' diver maybe even 20' big lipped and has a good rattle to it....i figured for 4 bucks what the heck...lol

I don't mean to be a Debbie Downer nor a BPS basher but their cranks are straight garbage. They are made from the cheapest Chinese components (I know all baits are cheap Chinese junk lol) but these are the cheapest of cheap. They also have the crappiest hooks you can get. By the time you swap out hooks you have paid as much for the BPS stuff as just getting another brand. People get on here and knock BPS for all their house brand products for being super low quality...some are and some aren't. Some of their rods, reels, gortex clothing, etc is good stuff while other things are not. If you are on a budget the best cranks overall IN MY OPINION are Strike King. They are basically about $5 for everything, have decent components, run true out of the box 95% of the time, are durable and have good enough hooks. Norman is also another brand that are cheap by market standards and perform great. Sorry for the long winded post but steer clear of the BPS cranks and hooks for that matter. Their soft plastics are pretty good though, no issues there.

Totally agree with Stike King and Norman, good stuff.

I "third" every word. Norman, Strike King and Bandit all make very good cranks.

Forgot to add them. They are another good crank on the lower end of the price spectrum. Bomber also still makes a good crank for the money.

I will also add to the BPS cheesy line of do not buy cranks: Rebel and Cotton Cordell. They are so cheaply made it's sad. From hook hangers, to glue, to bills, to paint finishes to just overall durability sucking. I know that Pop R's are legendary and rightfully so as they are a great design and fish catcher. I also know that the Red Fin has a special place in many hearts in the Ozarks but let's face it....they are junk quality and there are better out there.

Add this to my Christmas wish list.

cant wait to see another WW knock off that actually runs straight & hunts good.

H20 stuff at academy is fairly cheap and way better than the BPS brand. Way better alternative if someone wants some cheaper nice cranks.

Yes they are. They have the best Lucky Craft RC 1.5 knockoff I have ever seen. Someone told me a long time ago that the blanks for the Lucky Craft and the H2O are made by the same vendor. The guy was a representative in the fishing industry with no stake in either company, so he had good reason to know and no reason to lie.
