When the water/highway patol gets you in cuffs you may be sorry... I put mine on in my truck in your neck of the woods

Oh they'll take it off of you right away.  Gotta search you for weapons and drugs ya know. Their safety is way more important than yours, but even they don't wear PFD's.

I had some pretty good training about hypothermia but that was Close to 60 yrs go when my carrier was spending time way up above the the arctic circle tracking all the Russian doings up there in the Cold War. I do believe your personal atitude has something to do with your survival as well as your body fat.

This year I went to an auto inflate tournament vest from Cabelas.  Wore it all summer and it does not get in the way or make you hot.

My issue with the Mustang type vests is that something inflated on my chest seems like it would make it difficult to swim.     I don't wanna be reduced to back stroking.

If I know I'm gonna be knocked unconscious then cool, but if the idea is to get back out of the water ASAP then as long as I'm not dead or sleeping I think I'm better off with no balloons on my titties.

I have read that inflate type pfd's some times do not work in cold temps.

I use the old type when duck hunting.

Just something to check out.
