Everyone has forgotten the Fat Rap which if you know anything about crankbaits you should know that the Fat Rap is the perfect silent Wiggle Wart.....But nobody throws it, and it never gets a mention.  

Rapala sells ALOT of baits, and their stuff is good quality, but yet you seldom hear their name in the winners circle.  

The fat rap was a very good bait, and another bait Rapala tinkered with, changing to plastic and adding rattles. It was hard to sell a bait without rattles for a good long time. That hurt Bagleys too.

Will say the Shad Rap is another pretty good Rapala bait. But it is also another 30 or so year old bait. Lot of the new stuff is pretty gimmicky, farm pond, and up north fare (sorry again Cal). Bright colors, features of dubious value to the serious folks.

most likely the first place to have them will be tackle warehouse.  i think don told me they will be $9.99.  not a bad price for a bass catching crank bait.  the ones i have have not had any issue with sinking or any of the problems that some other brands have had.

well, that is what don portrayed to me, that is would be exactly like the original.  bottom line, it is not, but close.  other bottom line, at least for me, it actually performs better.

Went to Don Iovino's Facebook page to see if there was info on when these might be released for sale. Didn't see any info on that front but did see a past post from mid October of 2015 and him having success on a bait made my MajorCraft called the Zoner 55. Appears to be IDENTICAL to the pics that Bo put up only Bo's has an Ozarks craw pattern sprayed on it. What can I say I'm a tackle snoop.

Sweet new bait and ten bucks is a steal for a crank bait nowadays!  Speaking of rapala baits....I bought a few ripping raps that were on sale.  Anybody have any reviews?  The only lip less baits I've ever used were xr50s and redeye shads, they kinda have a different look.  I have a box full of shad raps that were my grandads but I've found that flicker shads work better for me.  I do like xraps however I think they are great jerkbaits.  Gotta replace hooks on em, and I like to feather my own treble hooks.

Well since they say they "attract fish automatically" I am sold.  Been looking a long time for the automatic fish attractor feature, don't know why the other manufacturers haven't put it into their designs.  I have a dozen of each color on order.
