Apparently since a lot of the municipalities downstream of Fenton are in Jefferson county, they want MSD to fix it sooner, and think (rightly or wrongly) that they're dragging their feet on it. Meeting was on Friday. I was unable to attend due to work. Anybody have any info on what MSD had to say?
Old plug Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 I pay $60 a month just for sewers on LOZ. That is something for you all to take into consideration when lookiing for something on a lake somewhere. You buy something out here where they are aggresively trying to get sewers installed you might be in for a surprise. Sewer installation is mandantory and so are the monthly payments no matter if you live here full time or not.
joeD Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 People neglect to mention that the citizens served by the MSD Fenton plant have had no interruption in their ability to have and use clean drinking water. Your quality of life has not suffered, and your weeping for an environmental destruction that, really, has not occurred, is obviously, premature. Fish love poop. And eggs. And semen. It is well documented. Add corn, and it may as well be an excremental carnival for enterprising and forward thinking fish. Who will grow and thrive and eagerly await our baited hooks and nets and arrows and multi pronged plastic imitations. mjk86 1
Haris122 Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 A week or so outdated it seems but I ran across this information just a few minutes ago. Looks like the worst parts of the sewage effluent have been fixed since mid February now. I didn't know that. Still hope they finish the rest of the fixes up soon though so we can finally hit that section of the river again. http://openspacestl.org/meramec-river-wwtp/
Haris122 Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Looks like Fenton sewage treatment plant is back to being fully operational from what I heard on the news. Woohoo! Now just to give it a few more days to clean itself a bit more and I'm going to be back on it.
