i re did my impeller and theres 4 screws that hold down the housing and one of them is stripped but i can still get it on. iv noticed my pep keeps getting clogged more frequently and the pressures down on water coming out can this harm my motor if its not cycling water through the motor without as much pressure still has a pretty good steam at like 80 % or so?

Yeah you'd better get that stripped stud dealt with, the pump housing needs to be held down nice and tight all the way around.

What motor (year/make/HP) are we talking about ?   I need to see which gearcase it has before I can advise.

Regardless I'm not a fan of synthetic thread repair stuff.  Works OK for things that don't vibrate much or have temperature fluctuations.

So the pump housing goes over studs in the gearcase, right?   Is the stud stripped inside the gearcase or on top of the pump housing where the nut/washer goes ?
